Can I get a Slack notification when someone downloads my app?
InitSignal sends the Slack notification when someone opens the app for the first time. That first launch is the earliest event the SDK can verify.
What information is included in each Slack notification?
Each message includes the app name, version and build, device, install source, storefront, and bundle ID. Paid-app notifications can also include the customer price and estimated proceeds.
Can I choose which Slack channel receives notifications?
Yes. Connect Slack from the InitSignal dashboard and choose the channel where you want new-user notifications to appear.
Does InitSignal send different notifications for free and paid apps?
Yes. A free app produces a New Download notification. A paid app produces a New Purchase notification and can include the customer price and estimated proceeds.
How quickly do notifications appear in Slack?
A first-launch notification usually appears in Slack within a few seconds. Device connectivity and Slack delivery can affect the exact timing.
Does InitSignal track users after the first launch?
No. After sending the first-launch signal, the SDK stores a marker on the device and does no ongoing session or behavior tracking. Some reinstalls may produce another signal.
